About the race

The 5 km race as part of ZAGREB21 – Zagreb Spring Half Marathon – will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026. year, starting at 7:00 p.m. The start and finish will be in front of the National and University Library in Zagreb, on Croatian Fraternal Union Street.

The course is 5 km long and consists of one lap. The time limit for completing the race is 45 minutes, which corresponds to a pace of 9:00 minutes per kilometer. Anyone who is at least 12 years old on the day of the race can participate, while those under 12 years old can participate with the approval of their parents and a sports medicine doctor.

Refreshments are provided at the finish area . Timing is electronic using chips and all results will be published immediately after the race on the official website of the organizer. All competitors will have a net (chip start) and gross time (time from the starter’s signal to start the race until the competitor enters the finish line). The gross time of the competitors is taken as the official ranking in accordance with the rules of World Athletics (World Athletics Federation).

Registration fee

  • Early registration - €15.00 (for registrations and payments made from 1 April 2025 to 30 September 2025)
  • Regular application - €20.00 (for applications and payments made 1 October 2025 - 28 February 2026)
  • Late application - €25.00 (for applications and payments made from 01.03.2026 to 19.03.2026)

Race route

  • START
  • West side of the HFU roadway – northbound travel towards Vukovarska
  • Turn right across the sidewalk and immediately right onto the East Side of the HBZ (opposite direction)
  • Along the eastern CFU roadway – Većeslava Holjevac Avenue – across the Freedom Bridge
  • Along Večeslava Holjevac Avenue to Antalova
  • Right into Antallovo and immediately right onto the access road – Damira Tomljanovića Street
  • Tomljanovićeva Street under the bridge until the intersection with Većeslava Holjevac Avenue
  • At the intersection, turn right towards the Freedom Bridge.
  • Along the eastern roadway of Većeslava Holjevac Avenue – across the Freedom Bridge – along the eastern roadway of the CFU
  • Arriving at the intersection with Vukovarska, we turn left across the sidewalk and left again onto the western roadway of the HFU.
